Am I a loser because of this?

I'm 17 and I never had a girlfriend. I've never even been on a date. I ask out girls a lot but every girl I asked out said no or they have a boyfriend. I'm a good guy but I'm kinda ugly but I'm playing D1 college football next year at a pretty good football school so I guess that makes up for it lol. When I see couples together I get sad since I never had a girlfriend. The closest I got to a date ws when a girl said yes and when I went to pick her up at her house, she had her family and friends laugh at me thinking I'd had a chance with her and they recorder it...Am I loser for never having a date at 17?
