Super Anime fans only! is it only me?

I have been wondering. I love anime! After one is over its like someone died because i wont ever see it again(without re-watching)! But it seems like almost every anime i watch they make it seems like there will be romance but it never happens! Take Kenichi the mightiest disciple for example: Miu and Kenichi never kissed or any thing! Or death note, i never really watched it because my friend said the only love in it was 2 girls falling for the main character, but nothing actually happens. My all time favorite anime is Shuffle because not only does Rin and Asa kiss but there are 4 episodes continuing their love and lives. so heres my question: am i the only one who watches anime for the romance and not the action? Also if you any recommendations that are relative to what i mentioned it would be great because it can be hard to find a good anime series.
