Just a random question why is the Togainu No Chi anime so freaking cool yet not at the same time? lol?

I have been watching it and it says that it is a Shonen Ai anime but all i am seeing is some really kick *** action with an awesome back story. O.o I have never played the games and don't intend to but this anime is awesome! I admit that there is some hints of gay like Rin >.> and i am only on episode two maybe it gets worse? idk but as of right now it is pretty damn sweet. Right now it just seems like they wanted to make an action anime and like lost a bet so they had to put some gayness in there?. lol I don't even know what I am talking about anymore. but back to my question why is it so cool yet not? I JUST DON"T GET IT. ^O^
